Well the summer madness has ended! And what a busy summer we have had. What recession? I for one am feeling very mellow this autumn, luckily there is much to chill out to in town. Why not come and see.
As for me, I have been seen hanging round the excellent new Horse Guards Museum at Horse guards parade. It must be the uniforms!! Hxx
In town on Saturday 15th Aug? The girls and boys of London frontrunners are holding their annual 10K race in Victoria Park. The London Pride 10k is now full with 1,000 fit and gorgeous people signed up so come along and watch. After party from 8pm in the Shadow lounge.
The Gay Icons exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery is proving a great success.
Naughty naughty naughty slap wrist! We have been so busy looking after so many lovely visitors we have quite forgotten to update the blog!! Now August and we have been busy. London seems to be the place to be this summer.
At last, the sun is out!! London in Spring weather - really puts a spring in your step (no pun intended). Strolled down from Soho to Trafalgar Square last night - everyone out having fun - and the fountains change colour! From red to green to blue - and even pink... (of course, this is London).
and another thing............. Gay Icons at the National portrait gallery. Elton John and a dozen or so leading lights in the gay and lesbian world have selected images for this exhibition at one of London's most famous art galleries. Starts July 2nd...... will tell you more when we have had a chance to see it.
I am looking forward to taking groups round the beautiful Cotswolds for a few days in June........ the gardens will be amazing........can't wait!!
4th July. If you are not celebrating Independence Day (or even if you are) head to London for Pride. It is always one helluva party. Or look at our What's on page for other Gay and Lesbian events this summer.
Into sports and coming to London alone and want a social life? Why not contact one of the many gay and lesbian sporting groups? For example www.londonfrontrunners.org or www.tennislondon.com . See you there. Hxx
Priscilla Queen of the Desert. What a riot! Not just for a gay audience....... just how many homesick Aussies were having a blast too?
Various Voices: I hope all those who visited or sang in this amazing international choral festival at London's South Bank arts complex over the first May holiday weekend had as much fun as we did. Congratulations to all who took part!! Hx
